Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman was a U.S. Olympic captain for the team that has won gold medals in 2012. Aly Raisman has Six Olympic medals, as well as two World Championships gold medals. Aly, a native Massachusettsn was captivated by gymnastics when she was 18 months old, after she took a mommy and me class. Aly Raisman is a proponent of body positivity. She is also a role model both on the floor and off, and she spoke against Larry Nassar during his sentencing hearing. Aly was born on the 24th of April, 1994. Aly Raisman started gymnastics in her early years and helped her U.S. gymnastics team win the 2011 World Championships. The year 2012 saw Raisman win two gold medals at the London Olympics two of them at the team event and another in individual floor exercise - as well as one bronze on the beam. Raisman returned to the Olympics for the second time in Rio in the year 2016, securing two silver medals. One was won for each of the all-around floor and all-around exercises, and one for gymnastics in the women's competition. In 2017, Raisman revealed she had experienced sexual abuse at the from the former team physician Larry Nassar, and the next year, she filed a lawsuit against USA Gymnastics and the U.S. Olympic Committee.
